6^th Floor Roof Terrace Renovation The existing office building was renovated with a 6^th floor terrace with pavers only and perimeter guardrail. The entrance to the roof terrace was from the east side of the office. The existing blank office terrace had exit stair bulkhead at the southeast corner and access to elevator lobby and stairs at the south/west corner of the roof. The present tenant wanted to create a congregation area and outdoor workspace option.Diaz Architect & Associates, P.C. designed a roof terrace with the following features:

• Perimeter planter boxes at the guardrail to help with comfort feeling of perimeter edge.
• Wood pergola was located on the south side covering chairs with tables and casual sofa and chair
• L-shaped casual seating and folding hanging chair surrounded partially with L- shaped planter box partial enclosure
• Artificial grass with casual seating options
• High top tables with 3 chairs grouping on the west side of the building

The area is an active place for employees to socialize, work individually or work in a team setting. The outdoor air provides a healthy option to our post-Covid work situation.
